Best boiler settings for winter: start with the flow temperature
Your boiler’s central-heating flow temperature is the temperature of the water sent around your radiators. It is not the same as the temperature you choose on the room thermostat.
For many condensing gas boilers, a central-heating flow temperature of around 55-60°C is a good winter starting point. Keeping it nearer 55°C can help the boiler condense more often, recovering heat that would otherwise leave through the flue.
